Did Greta Thunberg inspire your resolution to eat more sustainably this year? Come see how delicious and nutritious plant-based eating can be at Sunnyhill’s monthly Plant-Powered Potluck. Whether you’re exploring the idea or committed to a life of veg eating, all are welcome. Just bring a dish that contains no animal products (meat, fowl, fish, meat broth, eggs, dairy, gelatin…you get the idea) and meet up in the fellowship hall at 7 pm on January 17. Ingredient lists are helpful for those with allergies. Please rsvp to geeb.pullen@gmail.com, so we know how many tables to set up.
If you have favorite recipes or cookbooks, bring them to share and discuss. We are also planning a book discussion for February: Dr Michael Greger’s “How Not to Die”, which promotes plant-based eating for disease prevention. If you’d like to check it out, you can find it on Amazon or in the Carnegie Library system. We’ll have a copy available to peruse at this month’s gathering. Looking forward to seeing you there!
