Nancy Bellamy - The Butterfly - this stylized "spiritfly" made up of abstracted question marks symbolizes the freedom UUs have to question --- and the resultant metamorphosis of the spirit. I gave it three sections instead of two -- our birth, life and death. The butterfly is also a symbol of freedom of expression for me, as it was my township's objection to my butterfly painting in our front yard that prompted the ACLU to fight for our rights under the First Amendment.
